As an option, it is possible to install advanced head optics of a matrix type, where each headlight relies on 32 LEDs (by the way, the flagship VW Touareg is equipped with the same optics).

The dynamic and at the same time elegant profile flaunts heavily littered A-pillars, spectacular plastic side doors, circular wheel arches and a sloping roofline ending with a small spoiler.

The rear of the car demonstrates a large fifth door that opens access to a spacious luggage compartment, stylish parking lights and a monumental rear bumper with neat foglights.

In the special version of the R-line, the rear bumper is equipped with two pairs of exhaust pipes. Also note that now the inscription of the model name is located in the center, and not on the left edge, as was the case with the pre-styling modification.

Between the seats of the first row is the center console, where the manufacturer has placed cup holders, a wide armrest, a button for activating the electric parking brake, a gearbox selector and several auxiliary buttons.

The second row of seats, in contrast to the sedan, is as friendly as possible for passengers in all three directions, while in the sedan the seats over the heads of the riders, as they say, were end-to-end.

The trunk volume is 650 liters as standard and boasts the correct geometric proportions. With the second row seats folded (folded in a ratio of 60 to 40), the volume of usable space increases to an immodest 1780 liters. Somewhat unpleasant news was the fact that there is no spare wheel in the underground luggage compartment.

Special attention should be paid to the Plug-in Hybrid modification, driven by a 1.4-liter 150-horsepower gasoline engine and a 75-kilowatt electric motor, which generate a total of 211 "horses".

The electric motor is powered by a storage battery with a capacity of 13 kW / h (previously 9.9 kW / h), which allows you to drive on electric traction alone up to 70 km (previously no more than 50 km).

The station wagon is based on the modernized modular MQB bogie, which has reduced the total weight of the car by 85 kg. The front suspension is represented by MacPherson struts, and the rear is a 4-link with a steel subframe.

Optionally, the machine can be equipped with an adaptive DCC suspension with a choice of 15 options for the level of stiffness of the shock absorbers. Also, the car is equipped with an electric power steering and an electromechanical brake booster, represented by disc mechanisms.
