2. Stylish Lada Vesta

The second place in the rating of the best-selling cars in Russia was taken by Lada Vesta. According to available information, in February of this year it was sold 7,960 cars, down 5.9% last year's figure. The gap between Vesta and the leader of the rating was 2614 cars, although in general, it turned out to be a common plus for the Lada company. Compared to the variety of the first leader, the new Vesta has 6 body options. According to some reports, the sedan is most in demand, followed by the Cross version by a small margin.

4. Crossover Hyundai Creta

The compact crossover Hyundai Creta complements the top five leaders in the rating, it is also the most popular and best-selling among classmates in bodywork in Russia. Against the background of a general drop in sales of other models, this crossover showed a small but stable increase of 2.5%. Over the last month of winter, dealerships managed to sell 6085 cars, which is 148 units more than the same period last year.

The Korean-made Hyundai Solaris sedan closes the top five, although, like the previous leader of the rating, this sedan is assembled in the Northern capital. The characteristics, like many other Korean cars, are not very diverse. The sedan is only front-wheel drive, although there can be no other in this class. Thus, we can draw a conclusion about the top five leaders in the rating: two domestic models of the Lada brand and three Korean cars. Judging by the characteristics, units up to 2.0 liters inclusive are in great demand, which means that economical cars remain in vogue.

6. New Volkswagen Polo

The second five leaders of the best-selling cars in Russia is opened by a small Volkswagen Polo. On the territory of Russia, this model is mostly produced and offered in a sedan body. The car retained its position in the rating, but at the same time lost 2.5% in sales. Total implemented in February 3825 copies this model. 8. Premium sedan Toyota Camry

Between the relatively inexpensive cars, the premium sedan Toyota Camry is registered, taking the eighth position in the rating. Like the previous leader in the rating, the new Camry ousted the Skoda Rapid from this position. According to the information provided, in February 2019, dealerships sold 2,973 cars, while the sales of the Japanese sedan increased by 38.6%.

10. Skoda Rapid

Skoda Rapid closes the top ten. In the previous ranking, this model occupied the 8th position, but given the drop in sales statistics by 11.8%, the car yielded two positions. 12. Crossover Kia Sportage

The crossover Kia Sportage closes the first dozen of the best-selling cars in Russia. Despite the fact that sales fell by only 0.5% (the difference was only 13 cars), and in February 2456 copies of this model were sold, the crossover pushed from the 7th position to the 12th. This is due to a decrease in demand for more expensive models, moreover, not so long ago, the crossover received an update.

According to the rating of the Association of European Businesses in Russia, in February 2019 dealerships managed to sell 128,406 new cars (passenger and commercial vehicles). Compared to the same period last year, this is 3.6% less, which also indicates a drop in demand for new cars.

According to the ranking statistics, Hyundai Tucson leads the most in sales, with indicator + 62.9%, Renault Duster suffers the most losses, showing -34.3% for February 2019. It is also worth noting that the retired models of the January rating did not return and, in all likelihood, will not soon become the best-selling models.
